A student preparing for NEET in Kota, Rajasthan committed suicide. The student, who was depressed due to getting low marks in the NEET exam, committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor on Wednesday. The incident happened on Wednesday evening at around 4 pm. Police are investigating the case.
The deceased woman’s name was Bagisha Tiwari. She lived with her mother and brother. She jumped from a building in Kota’s Jawahar Nagar area. Her body was taken to Maharao Bhim Singh (MBS) Hospital. The police will conduct the post-mortem once her father reaches Kota.
Woman’s Attempt to Halt Student
Circle Inspector Harinarayan Sharma of Jawahar Nagar police station said that the deceased’s brother studies in class 12 and is preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). When Bagisha was about to jump from the balcony of the fifth floor of the building, a woman saw her doing so and tried to stop her, but she failed. Initial investigation has revealed that she had appeared for the NEET-UG exam. But why did she take this step? It is not known at the moment.
Sad truth: Reasons behind suicide of 11 students in Kota
Students from all over the country come to Kota to prepare for admission in medical and engineering colleges, but this city often remains a topic of discussion due to news of suicide cases. In fact, this year (between 1 January and 6 June) so far 11 children have committed suicide here. The reasons for suicide include children not paying proper attention to studies, falling into bad company and indulging in wrong hobbies.
