The Bajaj Freedom 125 is a new commuter motorcycle that runs on both CNG and petrol just like some cars. This dual-fuel system is designed to significantly reduce running costs compared to similar bikes. Its price starts at ₹ 95,000 for the basic model and goes up to ₹ 1.10 lakh for the top-end version excluding showroom costs. You can book the motorcycle now and it will be sold first in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Later, it will also be available in major countries like Egypt, Tanzania, Peru, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle: Engine
The motorcycle has a 125cc engine that uses CNG and petrol, making 9.5 horsepower and 9.7 Nm of torque. It has a five-speed gearbox. A 2-litre CNG tank and a 2-litre petrol tank are under the seat, giving it a total range of 330 km. Using a switch, you can easily switch between petrol and CNG, and both fuels share the same filler cap for convenience.
According to the company, the bike travels up to 102 km in one kilogram of CNG. Running on CNG reduces daily costs by 50%, allowing owners to save up to ₹75,000 on fuel costs over five years compared to a regular 125cc petrol motorcycle.
